We continuously expand our production capabilities to better meet our customers’ needs. Through our new company Extralloys, located in Tunica, Mississippi (USA), we provide advanced solutions for custom steel profiles using state-of-the-art hot extrusion technology.
What Is Hot Extrusion?
Hot extrusion is a direct forming process used to create steel profiles with intricate geometries.
During the process, solid round steel billets are heated to over 2,000°F (≈1,100°C) and then pushed through a forming die by a hydraulic press with an extrusion force of approximately 2,800 ton vertical press or 7,800 ton extrusion press. The material is plastically deformed as it passes through the die, taking on the desired cross-sectional shape.
This method enables the production of shaped bars and seamless hollow profiles, even in difficult-to-form materials such as titanium.

Our extrusion capability accommodates sections inscribed in a circle up to approx. Ø 17″, with weights up to around 500 lb/ft and lengths up to 90ft, allowing for a wide variety of custom shapes and sizes.
