The American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) has released updated editions of the two primary standards governing the design and construction of structural stainless steel buildings:
- ANSI/AISC 370-25: Specification for Structural Stainless Steel Buildings
- ANSI/AISC 313-25: Code of Standard Practice for Structural Stainless Steel Buildings
These updated standards represent the second edition of each document and further align stainless steel design practices with the latest carbon steel standards while incorporating important revisions specific to structural stainless steel applications. The new editions include updates to alloy specification provisions, flexural design requirements for certain member types, stainless steel bolt design, fabrication practices, and standardized terminology.
